In early March, she tours in five Spanish cities: Barcelona, Tenerife, Madrid, Saragosa, Salamanca. Her Spanish tour is a big success Right after her Spanish tour, she begins a series of very special personal shows at the Gyalino Mousiko Theatre in Athens. Yiorgos Zachariou does the arrangements. The very best moments of these shows are recorded and in released in a CD entitled “Eleftheria Arvanitaki – Live” by Universal Music. Also, Eleftheria’s albums “The Bodies and the Knives” and “Outside the Program” are released in a special Spanish edition by the independent record company Resistencia.

She tours all over Greece and Cyprus during the summer, and she has a very strong presence abroad. In June she gives three concerts in central Europe: London / Barbican Centre, Aachen / Burg Wilhemstein Theatre, Brussels / Palais des Beaux Arts. In July, she plays at the “Summer in the City” festival of Madrid – a very central cultural event in the Spanish capital and that hosts internationally important appearances, like Brian Ferry, BB King, Philip Glass and Caetano Veloso. In September she takes part at the Getxo Festival in the Pais Vasco. In November, she gives a concert in Johannesburgh under the aegis of the Emigrant Hellenism Office.

In October she appears as a guest in the concerts of the composer Dimitris Papadimitriou entitled “The City Behind The Sea” at the Herodion Theatre in Athens, and in Alexandria, Egypt. The concerts are dedicated to the opening of the New Library of Alexandria.
