Eleftheria Arvanitaki is one of the leading contemporary Greek performers. She has a solid relationship with traditional, Smyrna, Rebetiko and folk singing, initially as a member of the Retrograde Company, but also later in her personal career. Her interpretative range is wide and is reflected in her discography in collaboration with great Greek and foreign composers, but also in her participation in other artists’ recordings. Her songs are signed by great poets and lyricists. Every year she tours in Greece and Cyprus, but also outside the borders. Her transnational presence is remarkable, as her records are released by the historic Verve company outside the borders and she has taken part in the most important ethnic and world music festivals. Eleftheria Arvanitaki continues her great artistic work completing forty years of record and concert presence.
