From November 2004 until March 2005 Eleftheria Arvanitaki played together in Athens together with Haris Alexiou, another very famous and very important Greek singer. Their collaboration was a long-awaited wish for the majority of the Greek audience. Seeing Eleftheria Arvanitaki and Haris Alexiou playing together was definitely something to remember.

In the summer Eleftheria gave 4 concerts in Spain (Madrid, Granada, Barcelona, Malaga), where she presented the songs of her album “Everything brought to light”. all 4 concerts was sold out! Moreover, in June she traveled to the USA (Chicago and LA) for the premiere of Philip Glass’ “Orion” in the country. At the same time, the “Orion” CD was released in the USA; it is a live recording of the “Orion” performances in Athens in June 2004, when Eleftheria performed uniquely one of Greece’s traditional songs called “Tzivaeri” (i.e. “My treasure”). The “Orion” tour continued in October with performances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York, Mexico, Austin, Texas and Melbourne as part of the city’s international festival.

In September, the album “POSTER” with lyrics and music by Nikos Zoudiaris is released. 2 songs with the voice of Eleftheria Arvanitakis and 3 with the voice of Nikos Zoudiaris compose this very special concept album that talks about a relationship, a city and their relationship. The song “Metrisa” with the voice of Eleftheria Arvanitaki stands out from the first moment.

In December, the album “Parallel Streets” is released. This is a double collection – a compilation of Eleftheria Arvanitaki’s participation in records and projects of other artists. It is a collection that presents the recording career of Eleftheria Arvanitakis from “Barakia” by Vangelis Germanos to her very recent collaboration with the Rodes group, having in between the who’s who of modern Greek songwriting (N. Mamagakis, N. Xydakis, D. Papadimitriou, D. Savvopoulos, St. Kouyoumtzis, N. Portokaloglou, D. Galani, E. Reboutsika, G. Zikas et al.). The disc includes 3 excellent live anecdotes (“Slave”, “Let me hug you”, “Curse you”), as well as 2 new recordings with songs that did not exist in her discography until now (“I hide in goodbye” and “Somewhere my love” by Manos Hadjidakis) in amazing musical approaches.
